There is no doubt that the Las Vegas housing market was one of the hardest hit with the great recession that hit in 2008. Slowly our housing market has been making a turn around, but not all areas are seeing the same appreciation and many homeowners are still under water. With the release of the latest numbers from the February Windermere Report we are starting to see hope in the eyes of homeowners in areas of the Las Vegas valley where appreciation is starting to get them back above water.

Highest Appreciation in Las Vegas

The 89103 zip code, saw the highest appreciation increases for moderately priced homes. Specifically, properties valued at $399,999 or less in this zip code saw an average appreciation of 16 percent during the 2014-2015 year. Zip code 89118 saw the highest appreciation increases for luxury, or high end, homes in the Las Vegas area. These homes located east of the 15 Freeway, and primarily north of the Bruce Woodbury Beltway was an appreciation rate on average of 20 percent during the same time period.

While not every community within these zip codes saw the same level of appreciation it has sparked a surge of homeowner inquiries.
