Downtown Henderson

The second largest city in the state of Nevada, second only to their larger, more well-known neighbor Las Vegas, the city of Henderson is a world away from the strip. Just minutes away from the strip, residents of Henderson can easily enjoy all of the luxury and quality Las Vegas have to offer, while living in one of the safest communities in the United States. With our master planned communities of Sun City Anthem, MacDonald Ranch and Seven Hills, we demand high quality and maintain superior standards for our town.

Henderson is rich in history, with roots as a supplier for World War II magnesium, the building of the Basic Magnesium Plant provided the materials the United States used to win the war. But after the war was over and magnesium production was no longer necessary, over half of Henderson became abandoned and the city was even offered for sale as war surplus.

Officially incorporating as a city in 1953, Henderson has grown from a population of 7,410 and flourished to over 300,000 covering more than 100 square miles. Located closely to McCarran International Airport, Lake Mead Recreational Area and Las Vegas have kept the city popular for the commuting workers. Well known for being one of the safest cities in the United States, Henderson, Nevada frequently find themselves listed on top safety lists such as this one released in 2012 naming Henderson the 8th safest city in the nation.
